Jack Plovanich, Kenosha
Jack Plovanich teaches music at Westosha Central High School, where he has taught for the past 23 years. As a high school music teacher since 1974, he has also taught in Racine, Waukegan, Kenosha and Salem, Wisconsin. Plovanich received his bachelor of arts in music education from UW-Parkside and continued higher education in the graduate program at VanderCook College in Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to his educational career, Plovanich is an accomplished musician and has performed with a wide variety of notables, ranging from The Chaco Civic Orchestra to Bob Hope, The Moody Blues, Gladys Knight and the Temptations to theatrical performances in Camelot, Cats, Music Man and West Side Story. He also has played many festivals and currently leads the Parkside Reunion Big Band, which plays all over southeastern Wisconsin.
