Matt McVeigh, Kimberly

Matt is currently teaching at Kimberly High School where he directs the concert band and the Jazz Lab Band. McVeigh has also directed Jazz Ensembles IV and V at UW-Eau Claire. McVeigh is constantly in demand as an adjudicator and clinician for bands around the state, as well as a speaker on various topics in music education.  His articles have been published in the Wisconsin School Musician, IAJE Wisconsin News, and the Wisconsin CMENC Journal. He is the former National Collegiate Representative for the North Central Division and CMENC and representative to the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Council.

As a performing artist McVeigh has performed with such Jazz greats as Byron Stripling, Christian McBride, Chris Botti, and 5 by Design.  He has also been featured with The Benny Goodman Orchestra, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, toured with Holland America Cruise lines, performed with the nationally acclaimed UW-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble I as their lead tenor saxophonist, and with the UW- Eau Claire Wind Symphony as their principal Saxophonist and section leader. Matt lives in Oshkosh with his wife Sarah, son Evan, and dog Louie.
