Conference Registration

Each registration includes:

  • Admittance to Wisconsin State Music Conference Sessions (Wednesday, October 23 - Friday, October 25)
  • Optional complimentary ticket to the High School State Honors Jazz Ensemble Concert (Friday, October 25 at 11:30 am)
  • Attendees are eligible to register for graduate credit through Viterbo University (additional fee). Click for more information.

Please Note: We are no longer able to process NAfME memberships. In order to register at the member rate, you must be a member of NAfME PRIOR to registering for the conference.

Attendee Check-in & On-Site Registration

The registration area is located in the Grand Terrace of Monona Terrace Convention Center. Follow the signs once you enter Monona Terrace on the 4th level (main level.) Attendees who have pre-registered can pick up their materials at the Pre-Paid Registration counter. Other attendees should register at the On-Site Registration counter.

You will receive your conference nametag, which you will need to have with you at all times, during check-in. Your nametag admits you to all Wisconsin State Music Conference sessions, exhibits and concerts held within the Monona Terrace, with the exception of the WSMA High School Honors Jazz Concert. This event requires a ticket, and you may request one complimentary ticket with your registration. 

Your nametag is not valid for WSMA High School State Honors Orchestra & Band, WSMA High School State Honors Treble Choir & Mixed Choir and the WSMA Middle Level State Honors Concert - you must purchase tickets for these Honors concerts separately.

WSMA Adjudicator Workshop at Waunakee High School - Saturday
Register for the workshop two or more weeks in advance. Walk-ins also welcome.

Cancellation Policy

A refund of conference pre-registration fees will be issued, minus a $25 cancellation fee, if notice is received more than seven (7) days prior to the beginning of the Wisconsin State Music Conference.

No refund of conference pre-registration fees will be issued if cancellation is received seven (7) days or less prior to the beginning of the Wisconsin State Music Conference.

Continuing Education Graduate Credit

Earn one graduate credit through Viterbo University by attending the Wisconsin State Music Conference. The cost is $220 in addition to your conference registration fee. 


Registration Options

  • Register for graduate credit in the online pre-registration program.
  • OR print and complete a Graduate Credit Registration Form (pdf).  Mail the completed form with a check for $220, payable to Viterbo University, to: Mary Elsner, WMEA, 1005 Quinn Drive, Waunakee, WI 53597. Please do not send graduate credit registration forms directly to Viterbo University. 
  • OR register during the conference at Conference Headquarters, located in the Grand Terrace on Level 4 of Monona Terrace Convention Center.

Requirements

  1. Attend 15 sessions/obvervations (two days or equivalent) of the conference. These 15 sessions/observations can include Saturday and evening sessions, as well as visiting the exhibits, attending the WSMA State Honors Music Project concerts, etc.
  2. Complete the Credit Validation Form and turn it in to Conference Headquarters on the main floor of the convention center, or mail it to WMEA no later than November 8, 2013. The Credit Validation Form documents which portions of the conference you attended and what you gained from attending. Copies will be available at the Conference Headquarters when you register for credit.
