How To Become Involved
Any CMENC member in the state of Wisconsin is eligible to serve on the State CMENC Steering Committee. The CMENC member must be nominated by his or her CMENC Chapter Advisor. Each Chapter Advisor may nominate up to two candidates. Nominations are sent to the State CMENC Advisor. The CMENC member is appointed by the State CMENC Advisor to serve on the Steering Committee.
The length of term for each committee member is one year. The term begins on July 1st of a given year and ends on June 30th of the following year. Committee members may be re-appointed for an additional one-year term.
The Steering Committee provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and leadership experience. It is an excellent way to meet fellow music education majors and to network with music educators throughout the state. The opportunities for growth on the Steering Committee are open. New ideas and new members are essential in continuing the Steering Committee's success. You could have an impact on the activities that happen with CMENC across the state!
