 Background:Dr. Pontious has been the State Music Consultant for Wisconsin since 1985. His teaching experience spans 27 years from elementary through college levels and includes general, choral, and instrumental areas. He has chaired the Music Committee for SCASS-Arts, a national consortium of states developing assessments in the arts. Currently he is directing an action research project on implementing and assessing the standards using the CMP and Arts PROPEL models of instruction/assessment.

 Background:I have been teaching choral and general music for 7 years and have a BM from UW Madison and MM from UW LaCrosse. I spent 2 years teaching at an International School in Arusha, Tanzania and am currently teaching general and choral music grades 6-8. I have a particular interest in music from around the world, encouraging creativity and ownership through composition, and keeping students up to date with music technology. Was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, on May, 1963.

He began his musical studies at Clóvis Salgado Foundation (Flute course with teacher Juvenal Dias - 1982/1986).

Robson studied musical composition in a self-taugh way. Since 1988, the artist has compositions played in important contemporary music festivals, like \"Ciclo de Música Contemporânea\".

He recorded in 1990 an album named \"Euthanasia?!\" with his own compositions.

Nowadays, he works at Symphonic Orchestra of Minas Gerais as a maintenance technician instruments and going on his works and researches about contemporary music.
