February 19-21, 2010 - Green Lake Conference Center
Next Direction for Band will again
bring together outstanding high school

interest in learning more about what is
involved in entering a music career,
specifically in band. This year, nationally
renowned conductor and composer Frederick

Listening Project |
|
|
|
|
The WMEA Listening Project was developed to
provide opportunities for students in grades
5-6 to learn about different musical styles,
forms and timbres through listening. Teachers
who join the Listening Project receive a
repertoire list and accompanying CD, lesson
plans and ideas, and a wealth of
listening and teaching resources. Teachers
also have the opportunity to enroll their
students in a Listening Project festival.
Learn more about the project and watch for
additional details and web features to be
posted soon on the Listening Project web page.
