Feature - How's That Working for You?
by Kathryn Spargo
I have read that we have learned more about the brain and how it works in the past 40 years than we have in the previous 400! What a great time to be a teacher ... Whatever your topic or concern, it is easy to find help today.
Service Award Nominations

Recognizing people who make a difference is one of the most rewarding activities for any organization. WMEA sponsors several awards to recognize people who have sustained a commitment to music education and made a positive impact in the school, community or state. Nominate someone you know! The May deadlines are not far off.
Music In Our Schools Month

Celebrate Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM) this March by attending Capitol Concerts. In just a couple of weeks, the State Capitol will be filled with voices and instruments. In celebration of MIOSM, WMEA is again sponsoring school music group performances in the Capitol Rotunda. Concerts will be held on select days each week in March and April, between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
